Our Texas vacation will start on Saturday, and thanks to readers, we got a few great tips: For example to go to Schlitterbahn with the world's longest water slide. My boys can't wait until we get there.
We are planning to spend a few days on Padre island, and we found a nice hotel on the north part. My question now is: Is it worth to visit South Padre island and stay there another few days?
Has anyone visited King's ranch in Kingsville? Which of the "dude" ranches might offer more fun for teenagers?

We visited the King Ranch with our 12 year old grandson in May.
The tour consists of an old guy driving a mini bus around a very restricted area of the ranch
His canned dialog (in a phony Texas accent) was stictly "company line."
This sounds like waste of time and money! Thank you for sharing your experience.
